Why should I drink kombucha?

It doesn’t sound too appealing, and these bacteria and yeasts convert the sugar into ethanol and acetic acid, giving the drink a sour taste.

You add these yeasts and bacteria with sugar and black or green tea, and allow it to ferment for at least a week.

Since kombucha is a product of fermentation, a number of good probiotic bacteria are produced.

These probiotics help to balance the gut microbiome and improve your digestion. This could potentially lead to weight loss.

However, there isn’t enough evidence to show any significant probiotic benefits of the drink.

Reduce risk of heart disease
