Kristen Bell, 40, Showed Off Her Sculpted Abs In A Bikini Cryotherapy Video On Instagram

  • Kristen Bell, 40, documented her whole cryotherapy experience with the help of her husband Dax Shepard, and his hilarious “Bond villain” commentary.
  • The Frozen star wore a purple bikini and showed off her super sculpted abs.
  • Kristen relies on Pilates at California’s Studio Metamorphosis to strengthen her bod.

Apparently all those years of playing Anna on Frozen have paid off, because Kristen Bell just went through cryotherapy like a boss, or a “Bond villain.”

Kristen, 40, shared the whole experience in her Instagram Stories with video that appears to be shot by her husband, Dax Shepard. Kristen wrote over the videos that she’s trying out cryotherapy and, while she looks a little nervous before going into the cryotherapy chamber, she also tells Dax that she feels “good” beforehand, adding, “I can do it!”

OK, but pause here: Kristen is wearing a purple bikini for the experience (along with knee-high socks, slippers, mittens, a headband covering her ears, and a face mask) and her abs are sick. Like, you could grate cheese on them, they’re so cut.

Back to those videos…Kristen headed into the -169 degree cryotherapy chamber and came out a few minutes later actually dancing next to the words “I’m only here for the health benefits.” FYI liquid nitrogen chills the chamber to Antarctic levels—anywhere between -166 and -319ºF —instantly.

As she steps out of the chamber, someone in the background says exactly what everyone else is thinking: “Your body looks insane right now.”

Seriously. Wow wow wow.

Kristen works hard for those abs, and it shows. She previously told Women’s Health that she works out three times a week at California’s Studio Metamorphosis, which incorporates cardio, circuit training, Pilates, and CrossFit elements into challenging classes. “I’m not in love with working out, and I’ve never really found a class that I love like this. Something about this class gets me,” she said.

Kristen said she gave up on having tight abs after she had her two daughters, but the classes helped her unleash them. “I’m still roughly the same size but now it’s just all muscle. …I feel so much stronger, and it’s a physical feeling, but it’s also a mental feeling,” she said. “It’s about the muscle value in my body.” (She also does indoor cycling and jogging, BTW.)

Of course, Kristen eats well, too. She told Women’s Health in 2019 that she’s on a restrictive diet to help with her eczema. “We’re trying to do no gluten, no grains, no lectins, no nightshades, no dairy,” she said. “I already don’t eat meat.”

She’s also handy in the kitchen. “I’ll make, like, eight acorn squash—they’re single servings—and put them all in a bowl, and that’s a cool thing to have instead of a salad,” Kristen told Women’s Health.

Pass the acorn squash.
