A California tech mogul who has spent millions on bizarre anti-aging treatments has revealed he now wears a device on his penis to measure nighttime erections.

Bryan Johnson, 46, has made headlines for his all-out pursuit to live forever, which includes swapping blood with his father and his teenage son, gobbling down 80 vitamins and minerals a day, and eating 70 pounds of pureed vegetables a month.

The regime, which costs about $2 million per year, also includes wearing a small device on his penis that looks like an Apple AirPods case with a turquoise strap around it to get his sex drive as close to an 18-year-old’s as possible.

This measure of sexual function, he says, could help predict other health outcomes like cardiovascular fitness.

He also wears a device on his penis every night that measures erections

Last month, Mr Johnson tweeted this graphic as an update on his progress since he started wearing a small device on his penis and doing shockwave therapy. His goal is to have a penile age of 18

‘I have, on average, two hours and 12 minutes each night of erection of a certain quality,’ Mr Johnson told Time magazine.

‘To be age 18, it would be three hours and 30 minutes.’

Last month, Mr Johnson tweeted an update on his ‘penis rejuvenation’ project, stating that his current erection age is 49. He also measured his erection hardness score (EHS), a self-scored measure approved by the American Urological Association that helps patients measure erectile stiffness. Scores range from 1 to 4, with 4 being fully hard. Mr Johnson gave himself a 4.

He also gave himself a score of 25 on the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF), which indicates that he doesn’t have erectile dysfunction.

He has previously said that he goes shockwave therapy on his penis to get more erections that resemble a teenager’s. He believes this improves his pelvic floor function, leading to more erections.

Mr Johnson made millions off his online payment platform Braintree, which, in a span of just three years, garnered nearly $5 million in revenue. In 2012, profits ballooned with Braintree’s $26 million acquisition of Venmo, and by the following year, was bought out by PayPal for $800 million.

He has since developed a company aimed at improving the quality and access to high-tech brain scans meant to spot oncoming diseases early, earning him a mountain of revenue for his health endeavors, such as a blood plasma exchange with his young son.

In a now scrapped blood exchange, Mr Johnson’s 17-year-old son Talmage (left) donated his youthful blood to his father (right), who in turn donated plasma to his 70-year-old father, Richard

Mr Johnson’s name has become synonymous with the biohacking movement that has taken hold among business titans like him, who have embraced unconventional health techniques based on biology and technology that aim to improve one’s physical health.

Some common biohacking methods include wearable devices that monitor vital sights, such as a smartwatch, nootropics or other drugs that boost cognitive function, and red light therapy to improve skin health.

Bryan Johnson, who swapped blood with his teenage son as an anti-aging treatment, has scrapped the ‘blood boy’ project because ‘no benefits were detected.’

Biohacking can also mean experimenting with meditation and mindfulness practices and optimizing nutrition and exercise routines.

Mr Johnson said that anything that accelerates aging, such as eating a cookie or getting less than eight hours of sleep, is an ‘act of violence.’

In addition to consuming 80 vitamins and minerals a day, eating 70 pounds of pureed vegetables a month, working out for an hour with 25 different exercises, Mr Johnson eats a strict 1,977-calorie diet and has taken more than 33,000 images of the inside of his bowels.

A team of more than 30 doctors routinely measure his blood, heart, liver, kidneys, brain, blood vessels, and sexual health. He claims he now has the heart of a 37-year-old, the skin of a 28-year-old, and the fitness of an 18-year-old.

‘I currently have no plans to die,’ he previously told DailyMail.com.

Mr Johnson’s quest for eternal youth began after a messy divorce with the mother of his three children. He found himself 60 pounds overweight, depressed to the point of having suicidal thoughts, and suffering from violent mood swings.

‘There was this other Bryan, who I call ‘Evening Bryan,’ and he would show up at 7pm on the dot. He would say, “Hey, you’ve had a great day… why don’t you celebrate tonight and have pizza and cookies, and tomorrow we’ll work out really hard?”‘ Mr Johnson said.

‘Then I would wake up fat, having not slept properly, depressed.

‘It took me years to remove that internal demon. I learned how to recognize him, and I would say, “Thank you, Evening Bryan, but it’s not going to happen. We know what happens when we eat too much and we don’t feel good… so no.”‘

Mr Johnson did not specify exactly how the device increases the amount of erections he has or how much it costs.

Shockwave therapy, on the other hand, involves applying low-frequency vibrations to the genital area, which increases blood flow to the penis and results in more erections.

Mr Johnson has not said how long he plans to keep wearing the device at night and when he’s expecting to see the results he’s looking for.
