A ‘Frozen’ Parody About The Pure Joy Of Getting The COVID-19 Vaccine Is Going Viral

  • The Holderness family posted a new video about finally getting the COVID-19 vaccine to their YouTube page.
  • The video is a parody of Frozen, with lyrics set to the tune of ‘The First Time in Forever.”
  • The lyrics poke fun at stay-at-home activities and share the excitement of exploring outside again safely.

The Holderness family has kept people laughing through the pandemic with a slew of hilarious YouTube videos, joking about the lighter parts of this scary time (remember the Hamilton mask parody?). Well, they’re back with another parody video, and this time, it’s about getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

The video shows the whole family—married couple Penn and Kim, along with their kids Lola and Penn Charles—getting super stoked because, as Penn repeatedly says, “It’s vaccination day!” Woot!

The lyrics, which are set to Frozen’s “For the First Time in Forever” are relatable and so, so amazing. “Appointments are open, I’m in group four. I don’t have to stay here anymore,” Penn sings as he cruises through his home. “I’m sick of eating takeout on these plates.”

“The time indoors has got me stressed, but I just checked on CVS. Finally, they’re giving me some dates,” he continues. And then, he drops the kicker—the chorus.

“For the first time in forever, I’ll hang out with someone else,” he sings, before briefly saying “love you” to his annoyed-looking wife. “But for the first time in forever, I won’t watch sports by myself. I could go to a bar with buddies. I don’t have to live in fear. For the first time in forever, I won’t be right here.” HAHAHAHAHA.

At the end of the video, both Penn and his wife—who can also get vaccinated—can be seen dancing in the streets. (FYI: Here’s what the CDC says about what you can do after getting vaccinated.) Check it out here:

Worth noting: Frozen star Kristen Bell also shared several snippets from the video on her Instagram Stories, so Princess Anna clearly approves.
