Jack P Shepherd health: Corrie star explains hair loss – ‘affecting my mental health’

Jack P Shepherd, 32, has been on our TV screens since the year 2000, after he started playing David Platt on ITV’s Coronation Street. He’ll be featuring in Friday night’s (8pm) Corrie dedication to Audrey Roberts.

Shepherd first starred in the ITV soap when he was just 12 years old.

Prior to his appearances on Coronation Street, he featured in the TV shows ‘Where the Heart Is’ and ‘Clocking Off’.

The actor has, however, revealed that he had a hair transplant.

He admitted that his hair loss had a major impact on his mental health, which prompted him to get the treatment.

Shepherd revealed that he even considered giving up acting, and removing himself from our television screens.

But, following a successful transplant at the start of 2019, there’s a marked difference to his hairline.

He posted a number of comparison photographs to his Instagram page, from both before and after his treatment.

His latest photos were taken nine months after the transplant.
