What a YouTube Bodybuilder Eats to Stay Shredded
Bodybuilder and YouTube star Obi Vincent shares what he eats to stay shredded in a new video.
Vincent starts by warning viewers that he’s 6’2″ and weighs 242 pounds, meaning you don’t want to copy his diet unless you have a similar body composition.
“I don’t want you to feel like you have to eat the exact same way to look like I do,” he says.
He starts his day with a protein bar, glass of water— aiming for about 40 liters per day— and a shake with greens, beetroot powder, and apple cider vinegar. After training, Vincent makes an egg white scramble loaded with vegetables and turkey sausage.
Vincent eats the same dish for lunch and dinner. A typical meal includes chicken, two types of vegetables, and rice—one of his favorite foods.
“I love rice. I could have rice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner,” says Vincent.
However, if you don’t share Vincent’s affinity for rice, the YouTuber shares a cooking tip: boil your grains in broth.
“It’s a game changer. It will make your rice taste a little bit more interesting,” he says.
For snacks, Vincent eats a protein bar daily and enjoys drinking tea with a pack of oat biscuits about twice a week.
“I absolutely love these. I think these are in every one of my food videos,” he says.
And once a week, Vincent eats popcorn while watching anime or movies. Sometimes, he even tosses popcorn onto a bowl of low fat ice cream.
Before bed, Vincent eats a handful of grapes with toast and peanut butter.
Although many food videos contain nutrition information, Vincent explains he doesn’t track calories or count macros.
“I eat how I feel on the day,” he says. “I don’t want my life to be dictated by food.”
