Berries are a great source of fibre which is an essential nutrient that improves digestion and helps beat bloating.

These berries are effective in reducing belly fat.

According to a research from the University of Michigan, a diet rich in Blueberries may change how your body stores and processes sugar for energy and, in fact fights belly fat.

Eggs

“A study published in the International Journal of Obesity compared weight loss after an egg breakfast compared to a bagel breakfast containing similar calories,” explains Toby Amidor, author of The Greek Yoghurt Kitchen.

“Results found that participants who consumed two eggs in their breakfast while following a lower-calorie diet lost 65 percent more weight and reduced their waist circumference by 34 percent compared with those who were on a similar calorie bagel breakfast.

“Eggs are also a great source of protein, which works to keep hunger at bay and curb overeating.

Watermelon

Watermelons are hydrating fruits rich in lycopene which increases the body’s arginine levels, an amino acid that has been shown to up the body’s fat-burning potential.

At the same time, the juicy and delicious fruit helps the body burn fat and helps to build lean muscle.

Watermelon is rich in vitamin C and contains barely 100 calories, making it the perfect low-calorie snack.

Sodium is a big contributor to a bigger and bloated stomach and watermelon helps to get rid of that.

On top of adding more of these types of food to your diet, adding walking into your daily regime will also help burn belly fat.

Health experts have found that walking 1.6 km burns approximately 100 calories, depending on your sex and weight.

One study measured the number of calories burned by non-athletes who walked at a brisk pace of 5 km per hour or ran at a pace of 6 mph for about a mile.

It found those who walked at a brisk pace burned an average of 90 calories per mile.

Furthermore, although running burned significantly more calories, it only burned around 23 more calories per mile, on average, meaning both forms of exercise contributed significantly to the number of calories burned helping to burn more belly fat.
